Established in 1996, New England Custom Floors has operated from Westport, CT from the start. Family owned and operated by brothers Jorge and Ismael Ibarra, Bona-certified Craftsman and members of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA). They have served as consultants for many companies and organizations including the NWFA as well as the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).
Well known in our area as experts in installation, restoration, finishing and artisans in marquetry, Jorge and Ismael started New England Custom Floors after apprenticing for many years successfully completing all courses with the NWFA and National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA) in the field of installation, finishing, inlays and custom marquetry. Jorge, Ismael and their team continuously aim to improve their technical skills through the research and development of new and existing products a continuing their education through the various courses and trade shows offered by the trade organizations. Ismael recently served as an instructor for both the AHEC and the NWFA.
Specialists in antique floor restoration, installation of all types of wood species, unfinished and engineered flooring, working with chemical reactive stains and mixing custom dyes, NECF has an extensive track record working with numerous clients in Fairfield and Westchester County. Highly respected for their professionalism that are able to maintain many long standing Client Accounts with realtors, interior designers, architects and custom home builders. Projects range from the straight-forward installation of pre-finished solid wood floors, to the most intricate hand-cut custom medallion and border installations.
